Many Texas love; Bond No. 9 has an array of fragrances that may homage to the Big Apple

Many Texas love to remind others that the Lone Star state used to be it's own country, and now New York seems to want to capture the Lone Star state of mind, or at least the smell of it?

Bond No. 9 has an array of fragrances that may homage to the Big Apple, with names like So New York, New Harlem, Central Park and Coney Island.http://buscatuperfume.blogspot.com/

Now comes Saks Fifth Avenue Texas by Bond No. 9, 400 bottles of limited edition Eau de Parfum sold only at Saks. The bottle is covered in the Texas flag made of red, clear and blue Swarovski crystals.

So what's Texas smell like? Well apparently it's a unisex fragrance that's supposed to smell like a scenic tour through a southwestern garden with "notes of warm vanilla, aromatic cardamom, East Indian vetiver and musk." Huh? (We had to look that up, vetiver is a perennial grass.)

Texas in a Bottle?

Well at least it's not the smell of BBQ, football and livestock -- that's what New Yorkers usually think of us!

So how much will Texas in a bottle cost you? $360. But you better get over to Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Dallas or Plano quick, it's only for sale this month. Oh and it's available in Houston, San Antonio and Austin too.

Texas First Lady Anita Perry will celebrate the scent at a launch event August 25.
