Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) is building on its Opium fragrance pillar with a new version in France

Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) is building on its Opium fragrance pillar with a new version, called Belle d’Opium. It is available now in travel retail worldwide. http://buscatuperfume.blogspot.com/

The scent was reportedly inspired by the creative vision of YSL Artistic Director Stefano Pilati. The juice was composed by Alberto Morillas and Honorine Blanc. “This perfume is a symbol of luxury, desire and modernity,” noted Blanc.

Belle d’Opium opens on notes of spicy white flowers: Casablanca lily, gardenia and mandarin. The heart features a nargileh accord – a blend of smoky tobacco, amber, fruit notes, scorched woods, peach and incense. The base combines white pepper, patchouli and sandalwood.

The flacon is a reworked version of the original, updated with a flamboyant red wick, and highlighted with a gold circle and cap.

The fragrance face is Mélanie Thierry, who recently received a César Award for Most Promising Young Actress. In the TV advertising she performs a dance choreographed by Akram Khan. The print advertising was shot by Mert & Marcus.

The full Belle d’Opium range includes a 30ml, 50ml and 90ml edp. The 50ml retails domestically at around €77.
