Reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee is launching his second perfume this month, this time a women's scent following his debut cologne Dy for Men (2008). It's called DYamante, combining references to both diamonds and love fantasies around the figure of no one but "El Cangri", one of his nicknames which means a handsome, well-fed man, a dandy, or the boss in Puerto Rican dialect. On his Twitter account, Daddy Yankee announced the launch with a tweet to his female following: "To all my sexy ladies here is DY "Amante."
DYAMANTE emphasizes the sophisticated and stylish side of a woman while inspiring the values, heritage and positivity that Daddy Yankee consistently represents....

DYamante was created by Fragrance Resources under the stewardship of The Falic Group and is described as a fruity, creamy wood perfume. Other note precisions given are that there are aquatic, botanical facets and natural fruits and spices.
The fragrance will initially be exclusive to Puerto Rico then available in select stores in the US in October 2010. The main market is Latin America including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Venezuela, etc.
A 100 ml eau de parfum is priced at $55. Customers who purchase the 3.4 fl. oz. EDP spray will receive a colorful, stylish ladies’ DYAMANTE T-shirt with rhinestones – an attractive gift with purchase while supplies last.
