Hace tiempo sucumbí a las bondades de los aceites esenciales. No sé muy bien cómo empezó aquel idilio, pero la intensidad de aquel flechazo aún mantiene viva su estela en mi recuerdo… La cuestión es que a partir de aquel momento, en todo lo que hacía tenía que haber un aceite esencial por medio. Aceites en las cremas, en el baño, en inhalaciones… hasta que decidí que quería hacer mi propio perfume con aceites.
Sí, reconozco que soy una friki de estas cosas, pero me encanta experimentar. A veces no con muy buenos resultados; una vez tuve que visitar urgencias con una conjuntivitis aguda causada por un aceite esencial… Hay que tener cuidado con estas cosas. La cuestión, y a lo que iba, es que ahondando en mi investigación particular sobre cómo hacer un perfume me topé con Jo Malone. Bueno, con ella no, con su tienda de Londres en el 154 de Walton Street, y toda la variedad de exquisitos aromas que hacía. Lo percibí como un universo de aromas delicado y refinado, y yo quería formar parte de aquello, aunque no sabía muy bien cómo…
Como el tiempo también hace su trabajo, yo después olvidé a Jo Malone y su universo olfativo, hasta que recibí la grata noticia de que ¡viene a Madrid! (a partir de este mes de octubre en El Corte Inglés de Serrano), así que no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de comentároslo. Jo Malone digamos que es especialista en crear fragancias únicas, de esas con encanto y muy especiales, y lo más importante: personalizadas. En este mundo globalizado en el que nos toca vivir, cada vez está cobrando más importancia el concepto de ‘individualidad’.
