The 'Custo boys' already have their own perfume

The Catalan designer has unveiled its first male fragrance under the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

A year after launching its first fragrance for women, the Spanish designer who lives in New York, Custo Dalmau, jumps into the world of men's fragrances, along the lines of some of the most important fashion brands in the world. His second foray into the cosmetic world coincides with the presentation of his spring-summer 2010 collection at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, taking place these days in the Big Apple. The SoHo and its environs have become the nerve center and base of operations for this designer in recent years, who has already become a classic in the annual event for the big city fashion.

Custo Man will be available from next October, and its mix of aromas, the fruit of the work of perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, promises immediately transported to a Mediterranean garden, revive an intense and warm June night or evoke a bonfire under the starry sky . It is no secret that, despite having taken up residence in the heart of the maelstrom New York, the designer, who spent his childhood and adolescence straddling Lleida and Barcelona, feels a strong attachment to their land that is reflected in their collections, full of light and strong colors, like, now in its fragrance. No doubt a perfume aimed at a man with a strong personality, risky ventures into the designs of Catalan, and reveals citrus and spicy notes such as Mediterranean lemon, bergamot, orange, juniper and black pepper.

Considered a pioneer, Custo Barcelona is undoubtedly the most important Spanish presence in fashion shows in New York that have taken place this week and this time have had a 'bridge' very special with the Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week thanks to the presence, real and virtual, designers of the stature of Davidelfín, Ana Locking, Joaquim Trias, Carmen March, John Duyos or Juanjo Oliva.
