Jones Apparel Group Inc. has entered into an exclusive license agreement with Inter Parfums Inc.'s U.S. unit to create and sell women's fragrances under the Nine West brand.
The first Nine West fragrances under the agreement will be sold in department stores starting in fall 2011. http://buscatuperfume.blogspot.com/
The agreement also grants fragrance design company Firmenich the exclusive rights to create and supply the initial Nine West fragrance to Inter Parfums and Jones.
The initial term of the agreement runs through 2016, although there is a provision for renewal.
Jones Apparel owns brands such as Jones New York, Anne Klein and Easy Spirit.
Shares of Jones Apparel fell 4 cents to $16.22, while shares of Inter Parfums rose 16 cents to $15.96 in morning trading Monday.
