Byredo, exclusive perfumes for gourmets
Every year offered for sale almost a thousand new perfumes, new good new and some are not in this figure includes the seasonal limited editions or versions of certain fragrances. But of all these developments, of course we all: the best and worst fragrance, aroma and original dummy refined perfumes and lousy ... and of course mass fragrances (which are so successful is everyone) and fragrances minority (those made by so-called niche or cult brands and known only to a minority). Among the latter are the creations of Byredo Parfums, a brand that has its origin in Stockholm, a city which, thanks to the writers of detective novels Stiegg Larsson, Jens Lapiduss, Henning Mankel and Asa Larson, among others, has become very fashion in our country.
Well the city in which it operates Lisbeth Salander is the place where this company comes from the hand of Ben Gorham. When I saw him (he was in Spain in the presentation of its brand to the press) did not imagine creating perfumes. He is young, with exotic features Canadian-Swedish mother and Indian father, with a look at the latest, full of tattoos, ... but it is not clear who created the perfume as he is primarily a designer. He graduated from the Stockholm School of Art and achieved great success designing interiors. Combining his expertise with the world of design and her passion for travel throughout the world, one day decided to join forces with three perfumers height: Jerome Epinette, Olivia Giacobetti (creator of fragrances for various brands like Dyptique, L ' Artisan Parfumeur, Hermes and Michel Klein) and the great Michel Almairac (with creations for Bond, Chloe, Burberry, Burberry, Escada, Gucci, Rochas, Sishen, ...). With them has created a universe as rich as selective olfactory. Gorham himself says he has always been fascinated by the world of fragrance and its effect on their memories and impressions. So says through Byredo wants to "communicate my own personal experience to contribute in the collective memory in time and place. I also believe in a modern approach without losing the scent techniques simply bringing together the best of the old and the new. " And I think he has achieved as soon Byredo has become an internationally renowned brand in the market niche fragrances. So far his list includes eight references. All are equal: the design (very minimal), the same bottle is 100 ml, the same price (115 €) and the same packaging for the eight fragrances, only changes the label with the name of each. Most are unisex and are inspired by locations around the world visited by Gorham or childhood memories. Are Chembur (take the name of the place where born and brought up his mother, an area of countryside on the outskirts of Mumbai), Gypsy Water (recalling his years in Italy, Ben has tried glamorized myth lifestyle of the gypsies with a fragrance that is closer to nature, forests, fires, road dust ...), Rose Noir (a potent aroma of rose damascena), Green (perfume tribute to his father, who traveled extensively through Africa and Asia, had in the 70s and the truth is that despite the smell of modernity has that retro green fragrance of the time), Pulp (mixture of Caribbean influences and Sweden, smelled strongly of fig tree), Fantastic Man (eau de cologne created for men's fashion magazine Fantastic Man), Blanche (is the latest creation of Byredo and is built around its white color perception and the result is a pure fragrance and always in structure and extreme character) and Bal d'Afrique. I can tell you that you smell after all (in a "tasting" perfumística), and despite ending the pituitary and a little dizzy, I decided that maybe I was going Bal d'Afrique and the passage of the days, and now with the clear nose, I think a good choice although I have to say I do not dislike any. As for my choice to tell who is a warm vetiver inspired by the Parisian avant-garde of the late 20s and African culture. In his high notes are bergamot, lemon, neroli and African marigolds, in the heart, violets, jasmine and cyclamen petals while the base notes include black amber, musk, vetiver and cedarwood from Morocco . Not easy to find as they are sold in very exclusive, for example in Madrid and Nadia Ekseption Perfumes, in San Sebastian in Urbieta Perfumery and of course on the website of the brand

Pues bien la ciudad en la que se desenvuelve Lisbeth Salander es el lugar en el que surge esta empresa de la mano de Ben Gorham. Al verle (estuvo en España en la
